For a semi-industrial application, I want to measure the temperature in a room at several locations and this permanently (i.e. 24/24, 7/7, 365/365). Secondly then, I want to be able to send these measurements to a web server to observe the temperature of the room remotely. I did fall on the T400 on Adafruit and it looks to be exactly from my understanding what I am searching for in terms of integration/price. But first question is, is it intended to be used as a permanent data logger ? And then after reading several posts, I would be glad to have the following information confirmed:
If the T400 is normally supplied by batteries (65 hours autonomy), it is possible to supply it only with the micro-USB (for instance using a Arduino Leonardo ETH, which is itself supplied by the plug connected to the AC-DC adaptator from grid) ?
Is there any recommendation to select the device to connect to the T400 to forward the data to the web server ? As mentionned above I am thinking to the Arduino Leonardo ETH which should be fully compatible as soon as the T400 is based on Arduino Leonardo (therefore MicroUSB is used for powering and data transfer) and which has a RJ45 plug. Any other post/reference that somebody did something similar ?
Best regards and thanks for the answer.
